The COPD Alliance has embarked on a critical mission to raise the awareness of how to detect and treat COPD amongst our organizations’ members, while also raising the awareness of the valuable tools and resources that we provide.

In order to accomplish that goal, we developed and launched the “COPD Prepared” campaign to encourage clinicians to take a four-STEP approach to become COPD Prepared.

Once you have taken the four STEPs to become COPD Prepared, let your patients know that you are, in fact, COPD Prepared, by downloading and displaying the COPD Prepared button in your office, on your website or your Facebook page.

We also developed a widget that you can display on your website by downloading the code and placing it on your website. The widget is both clinician and consumer facing and features the COPD Alliance endorsed screener in both English and Spanish, and outlines the STEPs to become COPD Prepared.

We hope that you will explore and take advantage of the tools we have developed to help the fight against COPD. Most importantly, we hope you will take the four STEPs to become COPD Prepared and share that designation with your patients.

Last year’s results of the COPD Prepared campaign were astounding, with a 700 percent increase in website traffic, 120 participants in COPD webinar and more than 1,400 widget downloads. We hope this year will be even more successful.
